[B/W] 1/3 Portrait - 3rd block

Hello again!

As you can see I worked on the portrait again, though only for 30 minutes so far. I've found that it's easiest for me to work for around 30 minutes, take a break, then come back to whatever piece I'm working so that I can see any flaws and just look at it from far away to see the contrast I worked on while up close. I worked on the arm, sleeve, and part of the collar this time, as well as made the face less chubby. Clothing is hard, and I can't seem to get it right! Any comments or critiques are welcomed!

[B/W] 1/3 Portrait - 2nd block

Worked on the portrait some more today, you can see that I made a few changes here and there when I was filling it out, the nose got a little bigger, the eyes a little smaller... I still have alot of work to do however, with all the shadowing, tweaking, and polishing that the face still requires. That's not even counting the rest of the photo. Hopefully, I'll be able to get this done before break is over!

Five Treasure Island - commonly known as F.T Island

Another band highlight! I recently put up a video with Hongki playing Jeremy in YAB in a mock group called A.N Jell. In reality however, Hongki is the lead singer in a real band called F.T Island [Five Treasure Island]. Why Five? This is because F.T Island consists of five unique members: Hongki, Jaejin, Jonghun, Minhwan, and Seunghyun. All of them are quite young, between 17 and 19 years of age. [the girl is not part of the band]

F.T Island debuted in 2007, and have been a success ever since! They too, are able to sing happy upbeat songs as well as sad ballads exceedingly well. Below you can find I hope [happy, upbeat] and After Love [sad, slow]. Both videos were subbed by kpopsubs.

[B/W] 1/3 Portrait - first step

Here is a picture of what I've done so far, the outlining took me the most time because I drew it too big, then too small, then too wide, etc. There still is a big chance it will change again, but only with small tweaks. You can see the eyes are still 2 dimensional, the nose has a foundation but still needs a little more.

New Work

I'm starting a new black and white portrait, and this time I'll be uploading photos as I work!

I'm also trying something new where I record the amount of time I work on it so that I can get a feel for how long I spend per piece.

Super Junior-M [or Suju-M for short]

This is one of my favorite chinese bands, though technically they aren't all chinese. Suju-M consists of 7 members, Han Geng [leader], Siwon, Zhou Mi, Donghae, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Henry. They're all really talented, and though 4 of them are Korean, they picked up Chinese extremely quickly. They debuted some time ago with their album 迷 [mi], and now have another one which just came out, called Super Girl.

In this most recent album, Suju-M shows that they can sing both ballads and fast songs without changing the quality of their music. Below are two of their songs, Blue Tomorrow [ ballad] and Super Girl [pop song].

Of course who can forget that Henry is a master at violin, having played for most of his life. He can dance while he plays [you can see it in Suju-M's version of U or on a tv show]. [He and Kyuhyun are my two favorites out of this band, though I like them all]

I see you've found my blog! well since I've just started, here is a little background...

This is a place where I will be showing some artwork that I've done, music that I'm into at the moment, and possibly other miscellaneous information. Of course please keep in mind that I am an amateur artist. It is my hobby, not my profession.
